Penguin shakercard

Hello everyone, 
I made this cute little Christmas card with penguins! I absolutely love penguins.
Recently I ordered the 'Love Quotes' stamp & die set from Mama Elephant, which I love, love, love!
I'll explain how I made this card. all supplies are listed at the bottom of this post. 
I hope you enjoy!

I started of with , of course, the Love Quotes stamp set from Mama Elephant. I stamped a whole bunch of penguins and coloured them in with some coloured pencils. I have a couple of Copic markers, but I love my coloured pencils. Much cheaper and also very easy to use. I decided to go with a couple of blue penguins. My card base has a shine to it, just a regular card base I bought at Blokker, here in Belgium. And I have some regular white card stock, doesn't matter which brand. 

From that white card stock I die-cut two stitched circles. I used the same size circle to die-cut two more circles as background for the shaker part of the card. In the white circles, I used the penguin dies from the Mama Elephant set to die cut them too. That leaves a 'Penguin hole' inside. I cut out some vellum and taped it behind the penguin-circles. By doing so, I ensured that the pearls I used for the shaker, don't fall out. 

 Time to fill the shaker-parts! This is how I do it: I put foam tape all round the 'open' parts of the penguin circles.I taped down the full round circles to the card base and added the pearls on top of that. I pulled back the backings of the foam tape and placed those over the pearls.
I stamped the greeting on some white card stock and cut it out like a banner. The greeting used is from the Lawn Fawn set: Baah humbug. I also stamped the two Christmas hats from the same stamp set and coloured them blue.

Time to assemble the card!
I adhered the greeting with some double sided tape to the card base. For the penguins I used some more foam tape. I used Tombow multi mono liquid glue to attach the Christmas hats to the card.
Finally I used some white Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the white parts of the little hats.
